Diagnostic kits are used to identify the presence or absence of a specific disease or condition. They come in a wide variety of formats, depending on the substance being tested and the intended use.

There are two main categories of diagnostic kits:

In-vitro diagnostics (IVDs): These kits are designed for use outside the body, in a laboratory setting. They typically involve collecting a sample of blood, urine, or tissue, and then using the kit to test the sample for the presence of a particular marker.

Point-of-care (POC) tests: These kits are designed for use at the point of care, which means they can be used in doctor's offices, clinics, or even at home. POC tests are typically simpler to use than IVDs, and they can provide results more quickly.
